Bio

My background is education and I have a lifetime experience of school teaching in various secondary, primary, and Special Needs school environments. Later on in life I have been attracted to understand more about the body-mind connection and became passionate to learn Shiatsu. I started my training in 2001 at the Shiatsu College Brighton and obtained MRSS status in 2005.

I have always enjoyed bringing Shiatsu to the wider community and have been involved in several projects: Threshold in Brighton (Women and Mental Health), Cast in London (Women in Education and Training) and Body and Soul in London to support HIV-affected young people and their families.

I have also worked from various clinics in Brighton, London and Cambridge and I do offer private treatments from my own home.

At the moment I am an ALW Shiatsu therapist at the Bridge Community Centre, Brighton, Moulsecoomb, where I support a diverse range of users in their journey towards wellbeing.

I have also taught basic Shiatsu skills and simple Qi Qong exercises to spread the word out there about their benefits and empower people to take care of themselves and their health.

I am keen to develop my energy and I regularly study and practise Qi Qong. In particular I am now working to explore myofascial release and I am deepening the Dragon and Tiger Medical Set at the Institute of Contemporary Qi Qong in London.

I am also qualified in Indian Head Massage and offer half hour relaxing seated sessions.

In my spare time I love painting, dancing, singing, gardening and being in nature.
