Bio

I started studying Shiatsu in the 1980s at the East West centre in London and then trained with Paul Lundberg in Brighton and finally completed my professional training with the Shiatsu College in Brighton. I have always been interested in Shiatsu and Healing and have been drawn to Seiki as a subtle form of energy based healing bodywork, developed by Sensei Akinobu Kishi and his wife Kyoko Kishi.

I have been working both in clinics and in community-based settings, trying to make the work I do accessible to a wide range of people in our community. Most recently I have been working at the Royal Alexander Children's Hospital on a research project run in conjunction with Active LightWorks and the Hospital, to monitor the effects of massage on children on the HDU wards. I have also taught Shiatsu for friends and family and Qi Gong exercises for beginners. I have studied bu qi and taiqiwuqigong with Dr. Chen and Hillary Thompson.

I am also an artist printmaker and teach Art in various settings.
